A clip from last night’s Daily Show, which was amazing.

There’s a reason beind the well-worn statistic that young people get their news from The Daily Show, and it isn’t because they’re too lazy or unsophisticated to get it from a news program without dick jokes.

I’m pretty sure is has to do with the fact that Jon Stewart appears to be the only broadcaster who puts basic reason and logic above anything else.

Straight up. Despite Stewart’s guests’ political views (although most of the foolish ones tend to be conservative), Jon always gets to the heart of the subject and lays it out for even the most politically challenged viewers. He does a service that most political talk shows refrain from doing in fear that they would be “dumbing down” for their audience, thus recieving criticism from their peers. But Jon just looks out for the common man, and does it in a way that makes his guests look like the foolish ones. You’re the shit JS, it’s going to be a tough three weeks without you.
